PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saddle-riding type electric vehicle equipped with a battery case whose width in a longitudinal direction is larger than the width in a lateral direction, which facilitates attachment/detachment of a battery to/from a vehicle body in charging i), can protect the battery (ii) and secures rigidity of a frame of the vehicle body (iii).SOLUTION: An electric motorcycle has a battery case 50 for storing two batteries. The battery case 50 is opened upward. To a front part of the battery case 50 is connected a head pipe for supporting a steering shaft. The battery case 50 is arranged between the two batteries and has a beam part 51 extending rearward from a front wall part 52 of the battery case 50.
