<p>A pouch 1 for a portable electronic device has a wall 2 defining an interior volume 3, the wall comprising an absorbent core 4 which comprises an absorbent crystalline material. The core may also comprise absorbent fibrous material 6, which may be 40% to 80% by weight of the total absorbent core. The absorbent fibrous material may be a cellosic material, a polymeric material or a superabsorbent polymer. The superabsorbent polymer may be polyacrylate or polyalcrylamide, or salts of these. The pouch wall 2 may comprise inner 8 and outer 9 layers, between which the absorbent core 4 is arranged. The inner 8 wall may be water permeable, and the outer 9 wall may be water impermeable. There may be a closure means for closing the pouch volume 3. The pouch may be adapted to receive a mobile phone, a tablet device or a laptop or netbook computer.</p> |
