PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer that can perform printing with good image quality on both a textile medium and a paper medium.SOLUTION: A printer, which can form an image on a recording medium P, such as a paper medium or a textile medium, includes: a print executing unit that discharges ink onto the recording medium P to form an image on the recording medium P; and a print control unit that controls operations of the print executing unit. The print control unit controls the print executing unit such that the number of types of ink used in a textile print mode for forming an image on a textile medium is greater than the number of types of ink used in a paper print mode for forming an image on a paper medium. |
