The floating detection part 10 includes a plurality of light-emitting elements Ia, Ib and Ic capable of irradiating infrared light to different positions of Pa, Pb and Pc of the recording medium P, and one light receiving element R capable of sequentially receiving total reflection light of the infrared light irradiated from the plurality of light emitting elements Ia, Ib, and Ic, and can detect the floating in the different positions of Pa, Pb and Pc from the received light intensity of the total reflection light. |
