A data processing unit (30) acquires optical rotations αM1, αM2, αM3, … corresponding to wavelengths λ1, λ2, λ3, …, and calculates the concentration C of a first optically active substance with the nonlinear least squares method based on the pairs of the acquired optical rotations and wavelengths (λ1:αM1, λ2:αM2, λ3:αM3, …), and on a formula expressed as the sum of a first non-linear function representing the optical rotatory dispersion of the first optically active substance and a second non-linear function that includes, as an unknown quantity, an eigenvalue that defines the characteristics of the optical rotatory dispersion of a second optically active substance. |
