Provided are a piece of medical equipment and a medical equipment handle capable of improving the operability of such equipment. A medical equipment handle (handle (3)) is a handle that is inserted on the proximal side of a flexible tubular member (sheath tube (2)), and is equipped with a handle main body (31) and a rotating operation part to be used at the time of a rotating operation for bending the area near the tip of the tubular member. This rotating operation part has: a rotating plate (32) that is installed so as to freely rotate with respect to the handle main body (31), at least one part of the plate being configured to be elastically displaceable along the orthogonal direction of the rotational axis (R) of the rotating plate; and a switching mechanism (switching members (Ex1, Ex2)) that, in accordance with the positioning state of the rotating plate (32) along the orthogonal direction of the rotational axis (R), switches between a free state in which the rotating operation is enabled and the rotating position of the rotating plate (32) can be set voluntarily, and a locked state in which the rotating operation is disabled and the rotating position of the rotating plate (32) is fixed. |
