DIFFUSER AND AIR CONDITIONER HAVING THE SAME

Provided are a diffuser and an air conditioner having the same. The diffuser is connected to a supply duct for supplying cold air generated from a main body provided outdoors, and capable of reducing noise generated by the flow of cold air as the cold air is discharged at a high speed when being discharged into an indoor space from the supply duct. The air conditioner comprises: a main body which is provided outdoors, and generates cold air; a supply duct of which one side is connected to the main body and the other side is connected to the indoor space, so that cold air generated in the main body is supplied to the indoor space; and a diffuser which is coupled to the other side of the supply duct, and reduces noise caused by the flow of cold air discharged into the indoor space. The diffuser comprises: a coupling unit coupled to the supply duct; an extending unit which extends from the coupling unit to have a tapered shape, and guides the cold air supplied through the supply duct to the indoor space; a mesh provided to cover the outer portion of the extending unit; and a housing which accommodates the coupling unit and the extending unit, and has an opening for discharging the cold air supplied to the extending unit into the indoor space.
