The centrifugal compressor according to the present invention is provided with an impeller, a casing forming a swirl chamber, and a diffuser (8). The diffuser (8) has a diffuser disc (21) in which is formed a shroud-side surface (24) that faces a hub-side surface formed in the casing, and diffuser vanes (22) arranged between the diffuser disc (21) and the hub-side surface. In the diffuser disc (21), a curved-surface-forming part (26) that smoothly bends is formed in the outer peripheral edge of the shroud-side surface (24). In such a centrifugal compressor, a flow channel (25) enclosed between the hub-side surface and the shroud-side surface (24) is formed so that the flow channel width increases toward the swirl chamber, whereby the diffuser vanes (22) can be extended toward the outer peripheral edge of the diffuser disc (21), and fluid pressurized by the impeller can be appropriately led into the swirl chamber.
