1. A method of providing an automated coaching message to a user of a portable electronic device, the method comprising:
determining first information corresponding to a health-related action for the user of the portable electronic device, the portable electronic device comprising a microprocessor, a display screen, a user input, a satellite positioning system receiver, an accelerometer, and a wireless communication transceiver; transmitting, via the wireless communication transceiver, the first information from the portable electronic device to a remotely located computing device; determining whether a coaching message should be provided; and receiving, via the wireless communication transceiver, an automated coaching message based on the first information.
