PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cache memory ensuring low hardware cost and suppressing occurrence of cache error while the LRU or LFU algorithm is inappropriate depending on the content of information processing.SOLUTION: A set associative cache memory including a plurality of ways, comprises a comparison unit comparing magnitudes of address information read from the ways, data to be replaced by that in the cache memory being determined on the basis of a result of the comparison at a time of replacing the data with the data in the cache memory.
