<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately grasp a changed configuration by considering variability of a network configuration.SOLUTION: A network monitoring system comprises: a network including a plurality of connection apparatuses and a monitoring target apparatus connected to any of the plurality of connection apparatuses; and a monitoring apparatus that is connected to the network and monitors the monitoring target apparatus. The monitoring apparatus comprises: a storage unit for storing address information on the monitoring target apparatus and connection destination information showing a connection apparatus of a connection destination of the monitoring target apparatus of the plurality of connection apparatuses; an identification unit for identifying a connection apparatus currently connected to the monitoring target apparatus, by accessing the network on the basis of the address information on the monitoring target apparatus; and an update unit for performing update by taking the identified connection apparatus as the connection destination of the connection destination information, in the case that the identified connection apparatus differs from the connection apparatus shown in the connection destination information.</p> |
