A host vehicle travel position specification device (1) specifies whether or not a reference path for map matching is displaced in either direction (left/right) in the forward direction for a vehicle, relative to an estimated absolute path, and specifies a predicted error range for a reference position for map matching. Said device then corrects the map matching reference path to match the predicted error range for the map matching reference position and specifies a travel position for the vehicle on the basis of the corrected map matching reference path. |
