<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper folding device which can accurately fold a paper sheet without buckling even when the paper sheet is thin or the like. <P>SOLUTION: Inner side guide plates 610-616, which structure a first stopper conveying passage 102, partially overlap, and can move along rails 610a-616a in a vertical direction to the conveying passage. When a tip end of the paper sheet P is detected by a paper sheet detection means 121, a type of the paper sheet is detected. The paper sheet P is guided to the first stopper conveying passage 102 by an inlet switching claw 400. When the paper sheet is likely to buckle, the inner side guide plates 610-616 are moved to widen an interval of the guide plates. After a certain period of time passes after the paper sheet P is detected by the paper sheet detection means 121 (immediately before reaching a stopper 301), the interval between the inner side guide plates 610-616 is returned to the original one to prevent the paper sheet P from bending on the conveying guide plate 102. Then, a first bend assisting member 401 is operated to bend the paper sheet P uniformly to folding rollers 201, 202 side and fold the paper sheet P. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
