This solar cell module is provided with: a plurality of solar cell elements (70) each provided with a front surface; a light diffusion portion (60) provided in an outer peripheral area (C1) of each of the front surfaces; and connection members which connect the plurality of solar cell elements (70). The outer peripheral areas (C1) each have, provided in a section thereof, restricted areas (D1) where formation of the light diffusion portion (60) is restricted. The restricted areas (D1) are provided in positions where the outer peripheral areas (C1) and the connection members intersect. The solar cell elements (70) may have, provided on the front surfaces thereof, busbar electrodes (22) which extend along the connection members. The restricted areas (D1) may be provided in the vicinity of ends of the busbar electrodes (22).
