PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide emulsion ink having storage stability in addition to fixing properties and curling resistance, and an ink cartridge having the ink stored in a container.SOLUTION: (1) The emulsion ink is composed of an oil phase and an aqueous phase, and includes a coloring agent and a dispersant contained in at least one of the oil phase and the aqueous phase; and 5-20 wt.%, relative to the whole ink, of an amphipathic solvent contained in the aqueous phase. (2) In the emulsion ink of (1), the amphipathic solvent is bis-ethoxydiglycol succinate. (3) The emulsion ink of (1) or (2) further includes an ester oil contained in the aqueous phase. |
