The present invention relates to a composition for preventing and treating respiratory inflammatory diseases, wherein an Asparagus cochinchinensis refined extract or a methyl protodioscin compound isolated therefrom is contained as an active ingredient. In particular, as a result of confirming a bronchitis controlling function using a lipopolysaccharide (LPS) induced bronchitis experimental model with the Asparagus cochinchinensis refined extract or the methyl protodioscin compound isolated therefrom, it has been confirmed that samples of the present invention in the experiment exhibit a strong effect in controlling aspiratory diseases. The composition has been confirmed to be useful as a pharmaceutical composition or a health functional food for preventing and treating aspiratory inflammation diseases.
