<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry coke manufacturing process and a dry coke manufacturing apparatus which can produce coke having properties near dry-quenched coke at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The dry coke manufacturing process comprises supplying the cokes after wet quenching from the upper part of a container 5 at a temperature of 400°C or lower which can vaporize the water content present in the cokes by the sensible heat of the cokes, accumulating cokes in the inside of the container 5 to form a packed layer 53 and simultaneously cutting off the packed layer from the lower part of the vertical container, introducing air from the lower part of the container 5 toward its upper part to pass among the cokes of the packed layer 53, and discharging the air having passed among these cokes outside the container 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
