PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strand wire conductor capable of achieving both an improvement of terminal holding power and stabilization of electric connection characteristics, and an insulation electric wire using the same.SOLUTION: A strand wire conductor 1 has a first conductor part 2 formed by stranding plural first conductor strands 20. The first conductor strand 20 has one kind of a cross sectional shape selected from a regular hexagon, regular triangle, and a square. The insulation electric wire has: a strand wire conductor 1; and an insulator coated on an outer periphery of the strand wire conductor 1.
