<p>The present invention relates to a signal conversion apparatus which senses and processes an analog signal and a signal processing method and, more specifically, to an event-based analog signal conversion apparatus and a signal processing method. To the end, the signal-to-event conversion apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a memory, a sensor and an event extractor. The memory stores changes in a level of a signal by time and size information on the time period covering the changes in a level as at least one or more event type. The sensor senses an external signal. The event extractor uses changes in a level of the sensed signal by time and size of time period covering the changes in a level to extract an event type of the sensed signal.</p> |
