A diffuser includes a baffle 16 comprising an air inlet end 14 (fig.8b), an air outlet end 18 (fig.8b) and an outwardly tapering wall 20 extending between the inlet and outlet ends and together with a grille (40, fig.9a) defining an air chamber (22, fig.9a). An air inlet 12 (fig. 8b) is located at the air inlet end (14, fig.8b) of the baffle and is spaced from the longitudinal axis of the diffuser. An annular air channel (24, fig.9a) receives an airflow from the air inlet 12 and has a first set of outlets 32 arranged on an inner wall 26 to emit a first part of the airflow in a radially inward direction, and a second set of outlets 34 on an outer wall 28 arranged to emit a second part of the airflow in a radially outward direction. Emitting the air into the air chamber in this way helps to distribute the air evenly within the diffuser. |
