A display unit (19) for displaying in an illuminated manner is configured from a combination of a first deflection pattern (32a) and a second deflection pattern (32b) provided on the bottom surface of a light guide plate (16). The first deflection pattern (32a) is positioned in a manner such that when viewed from the direction orthogonal to the light-emitting surface (16c) of the light guide plate (16), the normal line rising from the slanted deflection surface thereof is at an angle of 30° or less (preferably parallel) relative to the direction that connects a light source (17) with the first deflection pattern (32a). The second deflection pattern (32b) is positioned in a manner such that the normal line rising from the slanted deflection surface thereof is at an angle of 25° or less (preferably parallel) relative to the direction that is orthogonal to the direction that connects the light source (17) with the second deflection pattern (32b). Some of the light emitted from the light source (17) is totally reflected by the side surface (16b) of the light guide plate (16), and projected toward the display unit (19) from the side of the side surface.
