PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, in a method for producing hydrogenated petroleum resin, said method by which the equipment cost can be reduced while the tackiness performance of a tackifier resin is improved.SOLUTION: The method for producing hydrogenated petroleum resin comprises: a thermal polymerization step for thermally polymerizing cyclopentadiene-based compound and vinyl aromatic compound; a hydrogenation reaction step; and a volatile component removal step, and is characterized in that the volatile component removal step is carried out by using a volatile component removal apparatus 10 comprising: pressurizing means 11 for pressurizing the reaction mixture; heating means 12 for heating, under a pressurized condition, the reaction mixture pressurized by the pressurizing means 11; pressure-reducing means 13 comprising a pressure-reduced pressure-reduced-space into which the pressurized and heated said reaction mixture is in-flowed; and a distribution member 14 comprising flow passage that can allow the reaction mixture to distribute, and disposed within the pressure-reduced-space in a state to allow the reaction mixture in-flowed into the pressure-reduced-space of pressure-reducing means 13, to distribute into the flow passage. |
