To store a battery pack (30) in a battery storage part (10), a tubular battery section (35) is aligned to a connector receptacle (13) in said battery storage part, and then while angling the battery such that said tubular battery section is positioned diagonally below and in front of a battery placement surface (11), the tubular battery section is fitted inside a circumferential wall of the connector receptacle. With the tubular battery section thus fitted inside said circumferential wall, the battery pack, while being pushed forwards, is tilted so as to decrease the angle of inclination thereof and is placed on the aforementioned battery placement surface. A battery connector (36) is connected to a connecting terminal (18) in a direction parallel to the battery placement surface. A sealing ring (40) attached to the outside of the tubular battery section is attached so as to be angled in a side view such that a section that corresponds to a bottom wall (14) of the connector receptacle is located behind, by a prescribed amount (E) in the direction in which the battery is inserted, a section that corresponds to a top wall (16). |
