The invention provides a handrail detection device of a passenger transferring apparatus and a maintaining method of the passenger transferring apparatus. The handrail quality can be automatically estimated according to the iron wire state arranged in the handrail in the passenger transferring apparatus. The handrail detection device of the passenger transferring apparatus includes the following: an X-ray photographing portion, wherein X-ray is applied for photographing the handrail of the passenger transferring apparatus; a photo processing portion, wherein the photoes obtained by the X-ray photographing portion are processed, whether the iron wire in the handrail is separated or winded is detected, and under the condition that the length of the iron wire separation or winding along the length direction of the handrail is continuously larger than the preset length, the iron wire quality is determined to be unqualified. |
