<p> Provided is a device with which it is possible to generate, in a single electrolysis tank, water that has a desired function (functional water), i.e., sanitary water that poses minimal risk of corroding metal components, such as stainless steel or brass, constituting sanitation equipment, and alkaline water (washing water). This functional water generator is provided with an electrolysis unit for electrolysis of raw water using a metal electrode and an ion adsorption electrode in a non-membrane electrolysis tank. The electrolysis unit is configured such that the raw water supplied to the electrolysis tank is electrolyzed by deploying the metal electrode as a cathode and the ion adsorption electrode as an anode, generating alkaline water, and then the alkaline water is electrolyzed by deploying the metal electrode as the anode and the ion adsorption electrode as the cathode, generating weakly acidic water having a pH of 6.5 or below.</p> |
