PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow image data to be compressed with a small circuit without requiring a large buffer.SOLUTION: An image processing device includes: an attribute image generation part 122 which analyzes image data of an original image and, every pixel, generates image data of an attribute image having a first attribute value showing whether or not the data belongs to a predetermined first partial image; a foreground background generation part 123 which divides image data of the original image into a plurality of unit blocks composed of a plurality of pixels and, by converting pixel values of a plurality of pixels included in the unit block into a pixel value of one pixel with reference to the image data of the attribute image, generates image data of a first compressed image including a compressed image of the first partial image and image data of a second compressed image including a compressed image of the second partial image; and a format part 125 which generates data of a multilayer data format including selection data showing a first attribute value every pixel, image data of the first compressed image, and image data of the second compressed image. |
