PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the enlargement of a device and increase in cost, due to the increase of components.SOLUTION: A magnetic card reader 12 carries out the application of service points to a card ID memorized in a magnetic card XA1, and the reduction of the service points applied to the card ID, by swiping the magnetic card XA1 when purchasing a commodity. The magnetic card reader 12 is equipped with a card information decoding portion 27a for determining a direction in which the magnetic card XA1 was swiped, a magnetic card reading portion 29 for reading the card ID memorized in the swiped magnetic card XA1, and a point control portion 27b which carries out the application of the service points to the card ID read by the magnetic card reading portion 29 when the magnetic card information decoding portion 27a determines as a forward direction, and carries out the reduction of the service points associated with the card ID read by the magnetic card reading portion 29 when the magnetic card information decoding portion 27a determines as a reverse direction. |
