PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preferable spacer not damaging a wall surface of a water jacket and hardly separating from a proper position inside the water jacket. ! SOLUTION: A water jacket spacer 1 to be inserted to a water jacket 42 formed around a cylinder 41 in a cylinder block 4 of a liquid-cooled internal combustion engine, includes: a spacer body 2 kept into contact with an inner wall surface 422 as a wall surface at the inner peripheral side adjacent to the cylinder 41 of the water jacket 42; and an energization body 31 kept into contact with an outer wall surface 421 as a wall surface at the outer peripheral side opposite to the inner wall surface 422 of the water jacket 42, and pressing the spacer body 2 toward the inner wall surface 422. An outer surface 311 of the energization body 31 facing the outer wall surface of the water jacket 42, is formed into the curved shape swollen to the outer wall surface 421 side of the water jacket 42. !
