PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve gear for developing the appropriate spring characteristics of a valve spring to the operating condition of an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A valve gear includes a first valve spring arranged on the retainer mounting side of a valve, a second valve spring arranged on the further valve head side of the valve than the first valve spring, an intermediate seat member arranged between the first valve spring and the second valve spring movably along the axial direction of the valve, a hydraulic chamber defined by the intermediate seat member and storing the second valve spring, an oil supply passage having an oil pump arranged therein for supplying oil to the hydraulic chamber, an oil discharge passage for discharging the oil from the hydraulic chamber, a sealing valve arranged in the oil discharge passage, and a control part for controlling the state of the oil pump and the sealing valve. |
