PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device capable of appropriately executing determination related to a handwriting input regardless of a holding state.SOLUTION: The input device includes: a holding state detection part 13 for detecting the holding state of an own device; an input detection part 11 for detecting a handwriting input to a detection surface with an input body such as a pen or the finger; determination parts 15 and 16 for executing determination related to the input detected by the input detection part 11; and a determination reference changing part 14 for changing a determination reference to be used for the determination by the determination parts 15 and 16 in accordance with the holding state detected by the holding state detection part 13. For example, the reference range of a writing pressure for determining whether the input body is a pen or an eraser is switched in accordance with the holding state.
