A display method for a display panel belongs to the technical field of display and can solve the problems of unsatisfactory effect and a huge amount of operation in the existing high-resolution display method. The display panel comprises a plurality of repetitive units, and each of repetitive units consists of a first color sub-pixel, a second color sub-pixel and a third color sub-pixel which are sequentially arrayed in a row; the display method comprises the steps: determining the first color component, the second color component and the third color component of each of the repetitive units; using a plurality of repetitive units adjacent to one repetitive unit as public units for the repetitive unit, obtaining a first distribution ratio of the repetitive unit according to the ratio of the first color component to the second color component in each of the public units, and obtaining a second distribution ratio of the repetitive unit according to the ratio of the second color component to the third color component in each of the public units; and determining the respective display components of the first color sub-pixel, the second color sub-pixel and the third color sub-pixel of the repetitive unit according to the total value of the first color component, the second color component and the third color component of the repetitive unit as well as the first distribution ratio and the second distribution ratio. |
