The invention relates to a tyre comprising at least one carcass ply including reinforcements and capped radially and externally with a crown ply, itself disposed radially inside a tread. The crown ply is formed by at least one layer of reinforcement elements. The tread is connected to two beads by means of two sidewalls, said beads being intended to come into contact with a rim hook having a rim hook tip C, and each bead comprising at least one circumferential reinforcement element. The carcass ply comprises an end at each bead, the end of the carcass ply being turned once in a radial outward direction in relation to the tyre and around the circumferential reinforcement element, such as to form a turn-up, and subsequently being bent in a radial outward direction such as to form a bend forming a radially outer end and three adjacent parts along an axial axis, formed by a central part, an axially inner side part and an axially outer side part. The radially outer end of the turn-up is disposed between the rim hook tip C and a point D, points C and D being located on the surface of the sidewall and disposed on each side of a point E on the sidewall corresponding to the nominal tyre section width, said point D being disposed at a maximum radial length equal to 85% of the length between the axial end S of the crown ply and the rim hook tip C. |
