<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid developer that exhibits excellent pigment dispersibility even if the content of pigment is increased in toner particles, and thereby increases electrical resistance of the toner particles to provide excellent transferability and high image density. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid developer of the present invention contains toner particles and insulating liquid. The toner particles contain resin, pigment, and a pigment dispersant.
