PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for winding a hot rolled steel strip while preventing the hot rolled steel strip from colliding various related devices to be arranged in an inlet side of a winding machine and preventing telescoping of a coil.SOLUTION: Between a winding pinch roll 4 placed at an inlet side of a winding machine for performing winding and a cooler for performing cooling are arranged two pairs of side guides 6 and 7; arrangements of a pair of upstream side guides 6, of the side guides, arranged on an upstream side in a conveyance direction of a hot rolled steel strip, are adjusted so that an interval of parallel parts 6a of the pair of upstream side guides 6 have a width in an extent that the hot rolled steel strip does not run on the upstream side guides; and the arrangement of the upstream side guides are adjusted so that the interval of the parallel parts have a width in an extent that the hot rolled steel strip is not sandwiched between the upstream side guides when an end of the hot rolled steel strip reaches a position within 0-3 m of downstream sides from outlet sides of the parallel parts. |
