PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print controller allowing character information to be easily and visually identified even when an image and the character information printed on an address surface of a mail article such as a postcard and a mailing envelope overlap with each other, and further to provide a printer and a print control program. ! SOLUTION: A computer disposes character information including an address and an addressee input on an address surface region (S11) and disposes an image selected on the address surface region (S12). The image is disposed so as to overlap with the character information, for example, as a background. An image processing section of the computer applies image processing for decreasing printing density to the image (S14 and S17).
