PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which is equipped with a carcass ply having a light weight and an excellent durability. ! SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire is equipped with a carcass ply 19 which is disposed on an outer peripheral side of a belt 15. The carcass ply 19 is equipped with a base material 2 including plural wires 4 which are so disposed as to extend in a specified direction at intervals. The base material 2 includes plural polygonal portions 5 which are two-dimensionally repeatedly formed. Each polygonal portion 5 is defined by a joint part 6 and a single line part 7.
