<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce high purity hydroxyapatite having low contents of impurity metals and chlorine. <P>SOLUTION: A method for producing high purity hydroxyapatite includes (A) a step of preparing a calcium hydroxide slurry by reacting quicklime obtained by calcining limestone with water, (B) a step of adding nitric acid to the calcium hydroxide slurry so that the pH becomes the range of 9.5-11.5, (C) a step of obtaining a filtrate by ultrafiltering a solution obtained by adding the nitric acid, (D) a step of precipitating hydroxyapatite by adding an alkali phosphate or ammonium phosphate and an alkali hydroxide or ammonium hydroxide to the filtrate, and (E) a step of separating hydroxyapatite by filtering off the precipitated hydroxyapatite. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
