<p>The present invention relates to a route guidance service system, a method and an apparatus for fault diagnosis of GPS in the system, wherein a terminal device receives route guidance information for route guidance from a service device by interlocking with the service device through a communications network to guide a route to a destination in accordance with the received route guidance information, current GPS information received from GPS in the terminal device is detected in case a user is left from a driving route during route guidance, and whether GPS is out of order is diagnosed using an error value by calculating an error between detected GPS information and position information on a current driving route by detecting the position information on the current driving route, thereby an error in accordance with receiving GPS or a guidance module can be clearly and automatically determined for a user to easily check a GPS fault without taking any action to confirm the fault.</p> |
