PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide diarylhydantoin compounds, including diarylthiohydantoins, and methods for synthesizing them, and methods for using them in treatment of hormone refractory prostate cancer.SOLUTION: The invention provides a method for treating a hyperproliferative disorder, comprising administering such a composition of the invention to a subject in need of such treatment, thereby treating the hyperproliferative disorder. The invention provides a series of compounds having strong antagonistic activities with minimal agonistic activities against AR.
