The present invention relates to a non-contact type power supply apparatus changing a signal level of a short beacon or a long beacon, and to a non-contact type power supply method. The non-contact type power supply apparatus, recognizing a power receiving device by transmitting a short beacon, and transmitting charging power in a non-contact method after waking up a communications circuit of the power receiving device by transmitting a long beacon, variably controls at least one signal level of a signal level of the short beacon and a signal level of the long beacon. The non-contact type power supply apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a power transmission unit; a power transmission coil; and a control unit variably controlling the signal level of the short beacon.
