摘要 Provided are: an exhaust gas purification catalyst which contains a nanocomposite obtained by mixing CeO2 with NiO homogeneously; and a process for manufacturing the same. The homogeneous mixing satisfies: (a) when the nanocomposite is analyzed using an STEM-EDX at five or more measuring points which are selected at random and at which both Ce and Ni are detected, at the majority of the measuring points, the number of Ni atoms accounts for 3 to 20atm% of the total number of Ni atoms and Ce atoms; and/or (b) in the Fourier transform of Ni K-edge EXAFS spectrum of the nanocomposite, the intensity ratio of the peak that is assignable to Ni-O and that appears near an interatomic distance of 1.8Å to the peak that is assignable to Ni-Ni and that appears near an interatomic distance of 2.6 Å is 1:0.50 to 1:less than 2.18
