The head (6) has pipette carriers provided for holding pipettes. The pipettes are arranged at the pipette carriers in a level parallel to a level of a substrate (2). One of the pipette carriers is rotatable around a rotation axis, which is oriented perpendicularly to the level of the substrate. The rotation axis is eccentrically laid relative to the pipette carrier, so that the pipette carrier is swivelable in the level parallel to the level of the substrate, where the pipette carrier is swivelable independent of the other pipette carrier.
