<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain an execution performance for an entire program and reduce the power consumption of a machine performing high-speed execution when executing a message-passing type distributed parallel program having no calculation imbalance. <P>SOLUTION: In a provided method, a calculation processing time is calculated by subtracting, from the start time of communication, the end time of machine-to-machine interprocess communication prior to the communication and the time of communication occurring within the same machine during that time. A true communication wait time is calculated by subtracting a communication margin time, which is the time of machine-to-machine transmission of a communication packet, from the communication wait time for the communication. On the basis of the ratio of those times, adjustment of elements such as the number of CPU clocks and the number of threads, which are associated with the calculation processing on a machine performing a high-speed execution, is made so as to reduce the communication wait time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
