PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce running costs by improving the overall efficiency of a device including not only a motor and an inverter but also a chopper circuit.SOLUTION: A switch 11 is disposed between the output of, e.g., an inverter 62 among a plurality of inverters and an AC motor 7, and a switch 12 is disposed in a path connecting the output of the inverter 62 to a charging device 9 via rear torque 13. In a section where a propelling force or a brake force necessary for driving or braking the electric vehicle is small, the switch 11 is turned off and the switch 12 is turned of to operate the inverter 62 as a chopper. |
