PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module which is manufactured at low costs.SOLUTION: A through hole is provided at a metal stem 101, a temperature control module 102 is mounted on the metal stem 101, and a metal protruding part 108 is integrally molded with the metal stem 101. A lead pin 107 includes: a penetration part 115 which is inserted into the through hole of the metal stem 101; and an inner lead part 116 which continues into one end of the penetration part 115 and extends to a tip. The temperature control module 102 is thermally connected with a semiconductor optical modulation element 106 electrically connected with the inner lead part 116. The protruding part 108 faces the inner lead part 116. |
