<p>The disclosure discloses a method and system for acquiring a capability supporting Voice services over Adaptive Multi-user channels on One Slot (VAMOS) of a mobile terminal. The mobile terminal informs a base station subsystem of support capability information about a VAMOS technology of itself; the base station subsystem acquires a capability supporting the VAMOS technology of the mobile terminal according to the acquired support capability information. By using the method of the disclosure, the state of the mobile terminal for supporting the VAMOS technology is acquired by the base station subsystem according to the support capability information reported by the mobile terminal, and the base station subsystem can distinguish whether the VAMOS technology is supported by the mobile terminal, thereby the VAMOS technology is used reasonably, thus support to capacity of voice user by an entire GSM network is improved without increasing spectrum resources after the VAMOS technology is used by the GSM network.</p> |
