<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high accurate conversion of a low-value image, subjected to halftone processing by using a dither pattern, into a multivalued image. <P>SOLUTION: A dither matrix is acquired and stored in a storage medium, and a low-value image converted into a low-value by using the dither matrix is acquired and stored in a storage medium. For each pixel constituting the low-value image thus acquired, the number of colored pixels included in the range of small region of the dither matrix centering about the pixel is counted. The multi-level grayscale value based on the count rate is then determined, and the pixel is converted into multi-level and stored in a storage medium. Thereafter, an image where each pixel is subjected to multi-level conversion is read and processed according to an information format of the image, thus generating and outputting an image for inspection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
