PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of replacing a driver and a drive roller in the driver, which can be carried out with a low risk and in a short time.SOLUTION: A driver (1) for a steel strip winding facility has at least one supporting drive roller (3) supported by a frame (2), and at least one drive roller (4) supported by at least one of rocking arms (5a and 5b) joined with the frame and capable of being pressed down to the supporting drive roller (3). The drive roller (4) is attached in a supporting area (7) of the rocking arms (5a and 5b). When the rocking arms (5a and 5b) are at driving positions, the supporting area (7) is opened upward so as to insert the drive roller (4) or take out the drive roller (4) on a side part and/or upward. The driver (1) is equipped with a fixing mechanism for fixing the drive roller (4) in the supporting area (7). |
