PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling a hybrid vehicle during a gear change stage which has no weak points of the prior art, is easily implemented, and has high cost-effectiveness.SOLUTION: A method of controlling a hybrid vehicle includes: a stage of recognizing interruption in transmission of driving torque to driving wheels during gear change with the open position of a servo support type clutch 5; a stage of determining a target acceleration profile; a stage of calculating such target driving/braking torque that secures achievement of a target acceleration/deceleration profile in all the time where there is interruption in transmission of the driving torque to the driving wheels during gear change; and a stage of controlling a reversible type electric machine 14 so as to supply to the driving wheels such target driving/braking torque that secures achievement of the target acceleration/deceleration profile in all the time where there is interruption in transmission of the driving torque to the driving wheels during gear change with the open position of the servo support type clutch 5.
