发明名称 DOUBLE-PONTOON-BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION OF SUBMERGED BARRIERS AND OF OFF-SHORE ROADS
摘要 An efficient technology has been invented that will be used to build submerged tsunami barriers off-shore in order to totally reflect the tsunami waves before they grow to catastrophic heights at the coast. A double-pontoon bridge starts from a ramp at the coast and allows to insert steel fences on both sides and to drop rocks into the gap between the two pontoons in order to erect a stable vertical wall. This is assisted by vertical steel tubes, filled with concrete, to connect neighbouring steel fences to erect a long barrier parallel to the coast. This barrier extends above sea-level and is covered by a supply and service road flanked on both sides by concrete walls with surge stoppers in order to prevent overtopping from storm waves. Turbines or waterwheels inside the barrier will use the tides to generate electricity, and fences in the gaps of the barrier allow exchange of seawater for the barrier reservoir and formation of large fishing farms. Such a project would stimulate steel-, building- and transport industries besides protecting coasts and large cities from tsunami and oil catastrophes. The construction work is protected by an extended horizontal steel fence, kept floating by pontoons and fixed to the seafloor, in order to attenuate storm waves.
